Hiran Mitra

Hiran Mitra, an Indian artist from Kolkata, began his artistic journey at 14, studying Fine Art in Kolkata's Government College of Art & Craft. Influenced by folk dance, his abstract gestural paintings depict the human body's choreography. Mitra's work extends to eastern Indian films, television, and literature, notably defining contemporary Bengali book cover design. His bold, energetic paintings explore the human condition and the intersections of reality and time, characterized by unconventional techniques and vibrant colors.
