Arun Mitra (2 November 1909 – 22 August 2000) was a seminal Indian poet and translator, widely regarded as a major figure in mid-20th-century Bengali literature. He was a leading voice of the progressive literary movement, known for infusing modern Bengali poetry with Marxist ideologies and a deep humanitarian spirit.
