Sabyasachi Deb is a renowned Bengali poet, essayist, and literary critic who has been a prominent figure in West Bengal's literary and political circles since the 1970s. He has served as a Professor of Bengali Literature at several prestigious government institutions in West Bengal: His work is deeply influenced by the Naxalbari Movement of 1967, reflecting a revolutionary zeal and a commitment to exploring new poetic languages. From 1966 to 2025, over a long span of sixty years, the countless poems that the poet has written have been compiled into twenty published books. From those works, the poet himself has selected and shaped this collection.
